I use the MinGW environment on Windows plus boost 1.47. BTW, I made a number of
requests regarding UUID generation on the dev mailing list, and there were only
a few responses at all at that time. Using boost was one of them and it worked
very well.
If anyone would ask me I would vote for some kind of HAVE_BOOST_142_UP (is it
1.42? not sure...) flag, but I do not have that much knowledge about the
toolchain to know how this could be achieved.
