Hi Jens,
1. The layout is mostly a responsibility of the renderer (see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DOT_(graph_description_language)#Limitations). An
option for large graphs is to use a program (such as OmniGraffle) to do some
manual editing.
2. Probably something to be fixed. Could you please provide me the thrift file
that caused this warning, or a minimal example?
