But it's also equally hard for us to test your patch and determine if it works
or improve the situation... but not that I doubt it does!
If you know exactly where it happens, you could start server and client[s] from
the same unit-test and use mutexes to release the client at the right point in
time and produce the crash.
I might be complicated but it might also help you finding the real cause as you
mentioned.
