You already have make cross failure log dumped to the output.
Just click "after_failure" in the right side of
https://travis-ci.org/apache/thrift/jobs/68196878#L4764 and you'll see the
failure log expanded.
Not that this issue is not valid, because current setup is far from user
friendly and explicit build artifact would be better.
