Hi @cherrot thanks for looking into this.
This doesn't seem a right way to do it.
In their context, readable sockets may mean dropped connections.
It's not the case for us.
Also, I don't think we want to include 3rd party code for something as
simple as this.
It would require us to put their MIT license into our NOTICE file etc.
