Hi,

Can we include
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TIKA-1367
in the list. It's a documentation effort only but IMHO it's time to introduce some clarity into which Parser implementation depends on which library. I'm willing to document it all myself, I'll just need some help from the long time experts, some basic mapping in an email tread will save me a lot of time...

Thanks, Sergey

+1 Let's get 1.6 moving again.

There are a couple trivial issues that can be closed before we release:

https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TIKA-411 - Display a nicely
formatted list of supported parsers.
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TIKA-1105 - Super simple fix to have
CompositeParser pass along its ParseContext.
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TIKA-1253 - Can be closed since we
updated the NetCDF dependency in TIKA-1258.
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TIKA-1324 - Can be closed since the
changelog mentions the update.
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TIKA-1342 - Minor fix for links on
the site.

I'll close/patch these in a few days (once David grants permissions) if no
one objects/gets to them first.

Thanks,
Tyler

Hi,

I've come across TIKA-1182 and TIKA-1322. Both are trivial to fix and
would be helpful to have in 1.6.

TIKA-1182 is fixed in FontBox so we only need to revert Tika's temporary
workaround.

For TIKA-1322 I've created a pull request
(https://github.com/apache/tika/pull/9).

Let me know if there is anything I can do to get them into 1.6 :)

Cheers
Matthias

Hey Guys,

So there's been lots of great activity lately between Nick, Tim, Annie,
Tyler, Lewis, Paul R., and me and others. We've got ~44 issues fixed in
JIRA. I moved
all unfixed to 1.7 and would like to roll a 1.6 RC no later than Monday.
Please let me know if this sounds kosher to folks. LOVE the activity
lately around Tika!

Cheers,
Chris
