A note for the SketchUp part: before a parser makes sense, {{.skp}} needs a
type of its own. Today {{*.skp}} belongs to {{application/vnd.koan}} (SSEYO
Koan, IANA-registered, globs {{skp skd skt skm}} in Apache's mime.types too),
so a SketchUp file is detected as Koan. Neither IANA nor shared-mime-info has a
SketchUp type, so a name would have to be chosen, and since Koan files are
hardly around any more, detection by magic would be needed to tell the two
apart rather than moving the glob.
