We have built up a gang of good changes in 3.4.9. It's actually the biggest
release of the year the way it is shaping up:

I'd originally thought we'd be looking at January for release but given the
scope of changes I think we should look to move up the timeline a bit and
release in early December. I was thinking we could go to code freeze around
the start of December and then look to release the first full week of the
month.

Obviously, if we feel like there are important things to get into 3.4.9
that aren't there yet when we get closer to that code freeze period we can
re-think and delay if necessary, but I figured it's time to put a stake in
the ground so that we have a target to shoot for.
