Maybe we should have a smarter selection of filter steps. That is: Only
consider the filter step if the filtered element (the incoming element) is a
vertex or an edge or rather if the previous step is a `VertexStep`, an
`EdgeStep` or an `EdgeOtherVertexStep`.
