Ah. OK. Those issues will need fixing. The RAT issues should be fairly
simple. Not sure about the archetype issues. That is where my lack of
Maven knowledge starts to show. I suspect some research will be
required. It might be something where AI can provide some useful

I can address the RAT issues if it would be helpful. The files that were
causing those are archetype test fixture files. Would it be better to

That is, of course, your choice. I will say that GSoC provides a period
of four weeks for project ideas to be discussed before submission is
due. I've been impressed with your level of engagement so far and I have
no reason to think you wouldn't be successful if you undertook a GSoC
project in this area this year.
Thank you for the encouragement. and confidence - it's very motivating.
After reflecting on it carefully, I have decided that I will need to
strengthen my foundations first before being able to contribute
meaningfully to a project at tomcat's scale. I plan to focus on
working on
that this year.
