For the record, Tomcat ignores invalid parameters and logs that it has done so.
I would be in favour of any patch that:
- added alternative handling option(s)
- keep the current as the default
- wasn't too invasive
If you *need* this functionality now, you always have the option of parsing the
query string yourself.
