Examples of checks include those introduced by a4749193a9e9da8628ca13debf89caaed3546efe and b8c14e738a5174b0258bc9fc9602e497b6f83d0a to detect validation problems with data to solve other issues. A centralised validator would provide much more expansive checking, allowing us to have increased confidence in the validity of ATR data. The validator could check the database and filesystem for internal consistency and consistency with one another. We could automatically fix some classes of validation error, but should be cautious if doing so because validation errors may indicate problems with the ATR codebase which need fixing independently of the data itself. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
