This should be totally transparent for the users, as the migration
process takes care of migrating the users as subscribed to the new
list address and the old list address will continue to work.
You're over-simplifying the impact of the change. For example, I read
this list as news, via gmane.org. There the last message on this list
was posted on 17th June. I've submitted a request to update it, but even
when that happens, many messages will have been lost.
Looks like the archive has cut over from
http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/ws-tuscany-dev/ to
http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/tuscany-dev/. Everything is
there, but the history is now in two distinct places, so searching will
be more difficult.
I don't know how many other places the list is archived, but each of
them will potentially need some individual attention, as they are likely
to have gone dead. Even regular list users probably have mail filters
that they will need to modify.
