Hi,

I plan to do it in trunk. I'm not sure if we really need to copy it to the 1.6 branch because the intension is to release it separately on top of Tuscany 1.6 (or 1.6.1) instead of being part of a Tuscany release.

I have some 1.6-related changes for the travel sample to remove the
workarounds that are currently in there to allow it to run on 1.5.1,
and I have some updates to the travel sample README that describe the
steps for downloading and running the travel sample on 1.6.

I have been holding off on all these changes because I haven't yet seen
a release announcement for 1.6. I was planning to go ahead and commit
the changes as soon as 1.6 is available for download and on maven.

We should coordinate our changes do avoid duplicate work and/or conflicts.
I could either commit my changes now or wait until Raymond has done his.

For the README changes, I think it would be better for me to commit them
now (assuming that an official 1.6 release will be available very soon)
because my updates to this file are quite extensive. When will 1.6 be
available for download and on maven?

+1 for doing the 1.6-related updates in trunk. I think the trunk code
for the travel sample should support the latest Tuscany release, which
is now (or soon will be) 1.6.

+1 also for a 1.6.1 release with the OpenEJB dependency problem resolved,
so that the travel sample can run "out of the box" on a Tuscany release
without users needing to download additional code.

Thanks,
Raymond

Hi,

I'm starting to change the Tuscany dependencies for TravelSample to be 1.6 (the latest 1.x release). Hopefully, we can release the tutorial in the near
future.

Where are you doing that ?

How about having trunk depending on the 1.x-SNAPSHOT, and copy it to
1.6 branch and switch the dependencies there ?

Also, we are waiting for a release of OpenEJB to fix some issues, and
I have plans to have a 1.6.1 release when that is available, mainly in
support of the TravelSample application.

Thoughts ?
