I tried to build OOo using VS.2005 and had problems with STLPorts. 

Yes, I agree, building with VS.2003 and using VS.2005 to create applications
should work.  (In process of doing that now)

In what way?  Using the C/C++ Compilers, Linkers etc. from those 
products should work.  A tighter integration with those products (i.e., 
not using makefiles etc.) might be on the long-term wish-list for the 
SDK, but AFAIK nothing is going on in that direction at the moment.
