Hi Laurent,

to integrate Python in the DevGuide, we need a chapter about the language binding (like the Java, C++ or CLI binding chapter). And because of the fact that the Python binding supports component development we would need an appropriate component chapter as well.
Examples can be found in the DevGuide for Java and C++.
And last but not least Python should be named and referenced in the Scripting Framework chapter.

The Python chapters should look like the other chapters

Format is not so important because we have transformed the DevGuide in an internal Sun documentation format to have better support in the documentation department inside Sun. I would suggest to use the available template on api.iopenoffice.org (http://api.openoffice.org/unbranded-source/browse/*checkout*/api/devmanual/template/DevMan_Chapter.stw?rev=HEAD&content-type=text/plain)
Create an issue with owner "jsc" and attach the new document.

Some Python examples related to the chapters should be created and should be part of the SDK (short description for the example overview page). Ideally integrated in the SDK build env.

Python UNO runtime reference documentation. Howe to build from scratch during the build process if possible. HTML docu with a css to customize the look and feel to look similar as the other available reference docu would be also nice.

License for the DevGguide is a good question. It's a Sun documentation license and i don't know the details at the moment and can't say how external contributions are handle or possible. But i will check it because it should be possible to integrate community work easy.

Juergen, what kind of informations do we need as a developpers guide chapter
A synthesis of what already exists

+ some new examples ?

what is the licence to be used ? What format has to be used to write a sdk chapter ?
