Bogus empty relativePath from parent section in various POMs

I have notived that a number of POMs in uimaj trunk and in the sandbox contain
empty relativePath elements. These seem to profoundly confuse the m2eclipse
plugin. I can see no reason why these empty elements should be present. Do they
serve any particular purpose? Otherwise I would suggest they be removed.
