----------------------------------------------------------------
Maven 3 requires the empty path element, otherwise it issues a warning - see
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/MAVENUSER/Iron+Fist+of+Maven+3.0+transition+pack#IronFistofMaven3.0transitionpack-relativepathtoparent
One thing that might help m2eclipse to find the parent poms etc., is to do one
of the two one-time-maven-setup steps described in
http://uima.apache.org/one-time-setup.html#maven-setup step 4.
If that doesn't hlep, can you say more what the problem is, and what level of
m2eclipse you are running? (see
http://uima.apache.org/one-time-setup.html#eclipse-setup especially the very
last section re: alternative...)

Maven 3 requires the empty path element, otherwise it issues a warning, if
I recall correctly.
I'm using m2eclipse plugin and it doesn't seem to be confused. Can you say
more what the problem is, and what level of m2eclipse you are running? (see
http://uima.apache.org/one-time-setup.html#eclipse-setup especially the very
last section re: alternative...)
> Bogus empty relativePath from parent section in various POMs

> I have notived that a number of POMs in uimaj trunk and in the sandbox
> contain empty relativePath elements. These seem to profoundly confuse the
> m2eclipse plugin. I can see no reason why these empty elements should be
> present. Do they serve any particular purpose? Otherwise I would suggest they
> be removed.
