Richard Eckart de Castilho commented on UIMA-2149:
--------------------------------------------------

What you suggest sounds reasonable (an new annotation created with "enter"
should have the same type as the last created annotation) but is not directly
related to this request.

When a new annotation is created, one has to select the annotation in the
outline view in order for it to be active and its features to be displayed in
the Edit View below the annotation editor. I think when an annotation was
created, I should not need to have to select the annotation in the outline view
before being able to edit the features - it should be automatically selected
and its features be displayed in the Edit view.

> When I create an annotation using the key bindings, I have to navigate to the
> Outline view to manually select the annotation there, before I can continue
> editing it in the Edit View. It would be nice if newly created annotations be
> selected automatically, so that I can save one step and only have to navigate
> to the Edit View.
