Tommaso Teofili commented on UIMA-2430:
---------------------------------------

bq. To me, this was not worth changing - it has no functional benefit, and
breaks existing user code and applications.

My fault, I should've figured out this would've broken backward compatibility,
however at the some time in the future it may happen that we want to break
backward compatibility to make things better.
So while it may seem unnecessary to break BC for such a change I'd argue things
like this stale 'incubator' subpackage can result in bad looking un-maintained
software which is not good for our community so that's the reason why I changed
it.
I'm ok on reverting my change now and maybe we can put down a roadmap for our
addons where we can discuss how we want things to evolve.
What do you think?

> the XMLBeans generated type system types wrongly contain the 'incubator'
> string inside package definitions, this has to be removed since UIMA is not
> inside the Incubator anymore making it consistent with other packages/classes.
