I think it would be good to run these as part of the Maven build. 
I usually set up a profile for each of these tools and activate
them during the Jenkins build. Jenkins has nice plugins to visualize
them and to warn if problems are above a certain threshold.

These are the profiles I tend set up:

- pmd
- findbugs
- javancss
- cobertura
