Hi,
yes, it's related to my mail in January. It's the same problem. The
eclipse used on the build machine (plugins specified in settings.xml?)
somehow influences the version ranges in the eclipse plugins. Now the
same happened to the UIMA Ruta RC what we observed for the UIMA SDK
release. I have switched to a newer eclispe for development (luna) which
most likely caused in this restriction.
As far as I remember, it was quite easy to fix this. Just a small
exclusion in the dependencies/features.
I will cancel this rc and will create a new one.
I will try to find the time to fix these issues for the next rc:
UIMA-4430 - Ruta: eclipse plugins not compatible with kepler
UIMA-4429 - Ruta: use (tm) for complete name
UIMA-4417 - Ruta: improve mentions in notice files
maybe:
UIMA-4420 - Ruta: extend java doc and documentation for multi-script
analysis engine settings
UIMA-4419 - Ruta:Improve error message for erroneous analysis engine
parameter configuration
About UIMA-4429: I assume that I interpreted the answer mail correctly
and that I will apply the (TM) to ruta for all first mentions of the
complete name. The first mention of Apache UIMA alone also gets a (TM),
right?
Best,
Peter

Hi,
I thought this restriction is gone with UIMA 2.7.0, should have tested
it.
I'll investigate this and get back to you next week.

The Eclipse plugins won't install into Eclipse Kepler (4.3.2) (get
cannot
complete operation); they install and seem to work fine in Luna (4.4.2).
The Docbook needs updating, it currently says:
Do the installation of the UIMA Ruta Workbench as follows:
Download,
install and start Eclipse 3.7., 3.8 or 4.2. Eclipse 3.7 can, for
example, can be
obtained from the eclipse.org
<http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/indigo/sr2>
download site.
Is this related to your email to the dev list on January 17, 2015?
or does this
version need to say the minimum Eclipse level is 4.4.2 or ??
