I recall I ran into this when I was attempting to follow Joern's suggestions 
about naming Jars with module names. 
 It's described, for instance, here: 
[https://blog.codefx.org/java/java-9-migration-guide/#Split-Packages.]  I think 
it would take some experimenting to figure out some work-around (if one even 
exists).

Example:  both uimaj-core and uimaj-cpe have package 
org.apache.uima.collection.impl

Maybe we could do some renaming, for at least this case, since the packages are 
"internal" (I think).
