Hello All,

One of the areas which slows adoption is the lack of detail in some of
the documentation. Particularly on how to get started. I propose a
series of surveys which will begin to document "acceptable practice"
to help new installations get started and to gather the collective
wisdom of the sages.

Towards that end, I would like to propose a hypervisor survey. If you
wouldn't mind, please reply with the following information and I will
collate and create a wiki page. Note: you should supply multiple
entries if you have multiple hypervisors.

Site: [optional]
Hypervisor: [e.g., none (bare metal),
ESX/ESXi, VirtualBox, Xen, KVM, etc]
Version: [hypervisor dependent; useful to
know that the contemplated configuration has bee tested]
Image count: [number of images using this
particular kind of hypervisor]
Supported users: [number of users using this particular
kind of hypervisor]
Deployment status: [e.g., prototype, pilot, production, etc.]
Comments: [whatever else you feel we ought to
know; what you would do next time, your recommendations, etc.]
