If we manage a 1.6.4 release, it will be in there. It is fixed in all branches: 1.6.x, 1.7(trunk) and 2.0 (exp). It is fixed in the upcoming 1.7-beta1 release. Please feel free to jump in and help with things, especially testing release builds. That's how things like this get caught before a release, when they are easier to fix.
