So you want to keep the left navbar-column?

concept that it is possible to only hide the navbar while keeping the
footer and the top-tabs.

What about having the marketing-project's opinion and those of the
native-lang confederation?

I personally don't like that the menus are hidden. Why do I have to open
them myself? If the content is not worth to be displayed, then move it
to a subpage.

Furthermore: having a front-page rely on javascript is bad.

You definitely need to provide access to the page without having
javascript enabled.
