I month has passed since I asked about a repository for JavaScript and
even thought we still getting more code developed. We already have 1
solution on remote scripting (cross-site scripting?).
This is a very nice hack that provides users to syndicate the announcement
page. This basically make announcements USABLE.
The logic of the script is simple.... go to the announcement page, get the
HTML, parse it and then register on a local database.
Once the database has the information another script will generate an RSS
tree.
You can see this working on the http://es.openoffice.org/
The scripts source are availabe on the
TWIKI(http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/Syndication).
Our goal is to syndicate the Documents and File section making it possible
to get updates on the new documents added to the D/F trees and folders.
