I month has passed since I asked about a repository for JavaScript and even thought we still getting more code developed. We already have 1 solution on remote scripting (cross-site scripting?).

hmmm...I could have sworn I answered this...we HAVE a site-wide repository for JS...here is the message that Stefan gave me back in early last year. I don't know what you mean by "remote scripting".

Hi Kay,
first of all I would like to thank for taking care of scripts which can be used site-wide...

I would recommend to use in CVS
 look/www/overrides/static/csi/scripts/

This maps to URLs
 http://<project>/branding/scripts/
or
 /branding/scripts/

e.g.
 http://test.openoffice.org/branding/scripts/tableDecorate.js

Greetings

This is a very nice hack that provides users to syndicate the announcement page. This basically make announcements USABLE.

The logic of the script is simple.... go to the announcement page, get the HTML, parse it and then register on a local database.

Well our lack of a central server-side DB has prevented us from doing a lot of fun things I'm afraid.

Once the database has the information another script will generate an RSS tree.

You can see this working on the http://es.openoffice.org/

The scripts source are availabe on the TWIKI(http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/Syndication). Our goal is to syndicate the Documents and File section making it possible to get updates on the new documents added to the D/F trees and folders.
