It's not like I wouldn't like them :-)
If 2.0 were to come out instead of "only" an update, I surely would vote
for keeping the individual links on the frontpage.

This would somewhat be a compromise between keeping it on the frontpage
and not making it too prominent ("because you only visit it once/know
already").

I doubt that they would be visible/recognizable in the buttons, but we
don't have to get rid of them given they are loved that much :-)
