Hi William,

well, all actually...

Since then I have looked at the OOo home page as a viable site for
"selling" Microsoft OS users and Mac users as well. Really you need a
strong commitment to OOo to sort your way through it.

It is on that basis that I would like to help on the redesign
(particularly the Communications Strategy part) of the OOo home page(s).

From the same posting:
I am a little confused: shouldn't we be communicating through the Wiki
rather than email?

"The wiki has its uses but is not ideal for conversations and not everyone uses it. It is useful especially for illustrating ideas."

Please let me know, if my input can be helpful and if so, where is the
best site to introduce that input.

I believe the best thing to share your views at this moment is on the user page requirements page. We have decided now that this is the page that will outline the requirements for the upcoming homepage (pages actually, since it will include some of the pages to move on from there).

The process to 15th of December will roughly go as follows:

1. we decide on what we want to present on the respective home page and its sub sites
2a. rough structural layout
2b. we decide on text (we need good copy writers)
3. visual design
4. launch

Note on 2b, the mainpage will not feature that much text, but there will be some new pages created, which need text, explanation etc.

But first 1. Please have a look at share your views. If you think we have forgotten about something you find important, add it to the wiki. If you think there is something in conflict, discuss it here.
