Hi Jörg,
In fact I think we could as well use the draft.html directly as a
replacement for the download.ooo/index.html page now, as I think the
design is more appealing than the current page. The parts missing on
the draft.html, which currently are on the download.ooo/index.html
page, are a link for "Derived Works", source code for old versions,
L10N in progress, OOo solutions, the section on download managers and
part of the second "Development" heading.
Derived works -> add to the side bar (not of major importance thought)
"L10N in progress" -> does not belong here (nothing to do with download)
OOo solutions -> does not belong here (nothing to do with download)
Download managers -> covered already in the side bar link (more of a
service to end users, not worth linking to directly from this page)
Text from the 2nd 'Development' heading -> does not belong here (nothing
to do with download)
How do others think about replacing the download.ooo/index.html with
Frank's draft.html? Is it better to first replace only the
download-button with a 1-Click-Download button and then think about
design changes, or would you prefer to have the
download.ooo/index.html replaced now with the draft.html (perhaps with
some/all of the missing links added to the sidebar)?
I think when considering the amount of information, everything is there
now... I would make some design changes though, but see my other e-mail
(to write at this moment).
g.,
Maarten
