I've checked using Opera, Firefox 2, Konqueror and 
Epiphany. Only Konqueror actually runs an applet, even then it took less than 
10 seconds (I didn't time it, but by the time I read the page it had finished 
executing).

This is using Linux (Mandriva 2008.1). Haven't checked Windows (and can't be 
bothered starting VMWare), so things might be different there.
