Hi there!

I've updated the Language Selector extension to the latest release.
Looking at the changelog, not a lot has changed.

If anyone notices any issues, let me know.

The above problem persists, as far as I can see.
To reproduce it just add a language (like BS or af) to your preferred languages in your browsers settings. Take care to choose a language code which preceeds your original settings in the alphabet.
Then clear all cache and cookies.
Then point to http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Main_Page
without being logged in as wiki user.

Although the browser (firefox) correctly appends bs as last preference to my other languages and thus sends the following GET-Header: Accept-Language: en,de;q=0.8,fr;q=0.6,it;q=0.4,bs;q=0.2 the displayed surface is bs.

Well... at least it's a known issue - it worked this way from the start. As long as no one is having other issues with it we can leave it be I think. I will monitor the extension website, and update if they have any major changes.

Doesn´t this language selector extension accept bug reports somewhere IMHO this is just very clearly in violation of

http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec14.html#sec14.4

and thus just simply implemented the wrong way.

Such extension is pretty useless if it doesn´t adhere to the accepted HTTP Protocol standards and better even not being used if it doesn´t work as it would be supposed to work.

Languages must only be sorted by the additional "q" value if present, defaulting to 1.0 for those where it is not present.

C.

Just my 2 cents,
Bernd
