Probably.  I thought that Maven set the right Java version.

I tried setting JAVA_HOME to the 1.5 version and putting that in my PATH, but now I get a build error.

I'm not a Maven build expert by any means, but I built the trunk code just yesterday without any problems. I'm on OS X, if that matters.
