Based on the wire frames that you had previously posted, it seems that your project will be written on top of carbon. If so, you can use the integration framework to write your test cases.
You might find the documentation in [1] useful for this task. You can also find CEP test cases here [2]. I think you can start by writing a simple test case first by copying an existing one and modifying it to suit your needs. If your project is not based on carbon, you can still write unit tests. Siddhi [3] has a lot of unit tests that you can refer to which are not based on the carbon test automation framework. You can always drop a mail to dev if you run into any issues when writing test cases.
