I also experienced NPE in federated SAML SSO use case. Should be fixed with
following changes you have added.
- cacheEntry = new SessionContextCacheEntry(sessionContextDO); + if
(sessionContextDO != null) { + cacheEntry = new SessionContextCacheEntry
(sessionContextDO); + }
