It looks like you are attempting to use Xalan-C.

Unfortunately that C++ code is _ancient_, and we don't currently have the C++
skills in the team to maintain it. (And frankly, it was obsolete two decades
ago; the best way to support it at this point would probably be to do a fresh
port from the Java implementation.)

I would strongly recommend that you switch to using the Java implementation.
Xalan-J is currently at release 2.7.3,

If you open a Jira ticket with _complete_ details if how to reproduce the
problem, including minimal XML input and XSLT stylesheet files, I can try to
find time to look at it. But really, the first thing you should do is to try
using a modern build of Xalan-J. Xalan-J's unicode support is far better than
Xalan-C's ever was.

Subject: Xalan Command Terminated

Hello Folks,

I am using Xalan 1.11.0. Which kills the process before generating HTML output.
File size:
[cid:image002.png@01DA1EF2.71751B70]
Command :
[cid:image006.png@01DA1EF2.71751B70]

Error:
[cid:image007.png@01DA1EF2.71751B70]

But it if I run command `/usr/bin/Xalan –m file1 file2`, using `-m` option then
it works fine. But we can’t omit the META tag because we can have umlaut char.

Could you please help me to find the root cause and solution of this issue.

Regards,
Giyassuddin
