Similarly... There's really no good reason to copy xalan-test _inside_ the 
xalan-j directory tree to include it with the source. The zip/jar tools would 
be perfectly happy to include it as a sibling directory. But this is what was 
done in the past, and ... see above.

Possibly saving some resources: `jar` reportedly follows symlinks by default. 
`tar` can be told to with the --dereference option. So in theory we could 
produce the equivalent file by symlinking rather than copying. But again, 
behavior change, should be separated from the Maven cutover.
