Joe Kesselman commented on XALANJ-2823:
---------------------------------------
The majority of the hundreds of commits of difference are probably the fact
that Master has been restructured into being a maven-based build, which
entailed moving a lot of files around and updating some dependency issues –
including retrieving the supporting jars from maven rather than carrying them.
I would like to see the 3.0 experiment moved to this development framework,
since otherwise parallel maintenance is going to be a pain in the patootie.
I would also like to see the 3.0 code integrated with master, using
conditionals to switch between the legacy and 3.0 behaviors, for the same
reasons.
But the 3.0 branch is Mukul's sub project, and I feel I can only suggest,
especially since I can't currently volunteer to do the integration myself. I
still need to get a release out.
