I'd really like to move to m2.
Actually, I don't know how much effort we need to do that.. and even worse I don't know if every plugin or dependency used has been already ported.
Greg, if you wanna investigate on this I'll be glad to help you.. just let me know what you need.

I'll commit a pom.xml, which can live side by side with the m1 build,
but it seems saner if we had only one build system - and ideally, the
releases should be done with m2 in the future. Just makes it easier
(or even maybe just "possible") to get the m2 plugin running.
