As announced in a previous message, I just finished a beta version of an XSLT filter coupled with a native UNO component allowing to export a writer document with all embedded document as an image (jpeg,png, gif), as does the native Save As ...HTML.

We did something in ooo2dbk using pyUno dealing with embedded objects
ooo2dbk is a tool allowing advanced export form OpenOffice.org to docbook
ole2img allows to export embedded objects as displayed in some various image format (png, jpg ...)
It is a part of ooo2dbk but can be run alone. You may have a look at it
