I have to put my hand up as the person who said the filter supplied with
OOo is rubbish. The reason I said that is that, if I create a DocBook
file via the track File/New/ and use the OOo DocBook template, I create
a document which looks on screen like it is becoming a sane and healthy
DocBook-readable file. When I save it, however, and open the .xml file
in a text editor, I get a correctly referrenced header and then a bunch
of XML which is full of long text strings of
falsefalsefalsefalsetruetruefalsefalsefalse and various other fragments
which do not generate anything like a document in XMLMind or anything else.
I may be doing something wrong, of course. I would be pleased to know so
if that is the case.

possibly you ;-) - could state it's feature set and why is it better
than the existing / bundled Docbook filter?
If we have another opensource docbook filter, which is better, let's
exchange it. But we have to be sure it is better and I would suggest to
concentrate development on one.
