I don't know exactly how I had this problem but I finally fixed it. In fact I think I was not able to delete my page because it was the current page like you said. So I created a sub page in my page and then I deleted the parent page and the child page I just create as well.
I think that to encounter this problem, I have deleted the parent page of the page in which I had my file container, and this child page was not deleted.
I'm not sure but I think it comes from something like that.

Thanks for your help.

I just redo your process (with and without validating the page before deleting them) on the online demo and it works fine. So please could you try to send to us a process that will, in all the cases, generate the error. Without being able to redo the error on our side, it is just impossible to help...

The problem is, for one of this page, the one with the file container, I can't delete it. The delete button does not appear.

You can not delete the current page. You must be on a sister page or on a parent page. Else I notice another small issue: you can delete a parent page from a child page. This obviously generates an error as the child page your are currently on will of course will also be deleted during the process. But excepting raising an error, the process is well done (the pages are all well deleted).

When I click on the update icon of my link, in the popup, the edit mode works but rights, logs or categories give me an error but when I try to see the source there is nothing about the error.

??? Have you done "View Source" in IE. Somethimes the result is different than if you click on the error link especially in the engines. Else please check the logs in the Jahia console on the server.

The deleted page don't appear in the search result. But the one on which i put a file container (which is deleted) appears. It seems like this page is a ghost page because I can access it only from my erroneous search result (or by typing its url in the browser).

Possible but wihout any stacktrace and without being able to replay the error on our side, it is rather difficult to help.

Any error in the console when you access these pages? Have you performed any rollback (versioning) or other complex operations (e.g. move) on these pages before? Is this only valid for certain pages (if you try on other pages)?

By default this operation seems to work fine (cf. you can test it on the online demo which is also running the 4.0.4), so we need to find which action caused your problem in order to help you and, if neccessary, report a new bug entry.

Hello, I'm using Jahia 4.0.4. The deleted pages have been validated and I tried to reindex the site.
In fact, I wonder if my pages are really deleted. They don't appear in the page tree neither in the site map, but in my search when I click on the link I get a page and not an error.
But I found no way to delete the page! And also, the document that are indexed and which my search brings me back, don't appear on the page. They are not in the file container anymore but they appear in my search. I don't understand why.

Hello,

Which version of Jahia are you using? Are the deleted pages validated? Have you tried to reindex the site?

Just tested on the online demo and it works fine...

Hi all,

I had created several Jahia pages and add some content on them, but I had to delete some of them. These pages no longer appear in the page tree neither on the sitemap but when I perform a search using the search engine, I get these pages in my result, and also some file that I added in a file container on one of these pages. I dont' want this content to appear in my search. How can I do?

Thanks!
