Also, these problems concern installation rather than development, so I would suggest that you use the install list instead, so that you might get help from people that might be more knowledgeable about install. For more information about recommended uses of the mailing lists, you may also consult this page : http://www.jahia.org/jahia/Jahia/devzone/pid/494 . It contains the mailing list policies.

In case you are not familiar with Tomcat, here are a few resources that might be of some help :
