I think that's why we never get complaints from those users, they must be used to seeing slightly broken sites...
As for the hanging problem, it turned out to be a problem with how we were importing stylesheets specifically for IE 5.2 on OSX. There is an @import hack that will only let IE 5.2 see the CSS but it was causing problems on Jahia pages that had a page alias set, e.g. http://somesite.com/jahia/go/home/test whereas pid URLs were fine, e.g. http://somesite.com/jahia/go/pid/12 Removed the hack and no more hanging...
