Hi Stephane, Sorry, seems I missed your reply... The problem seems to have automagically solved itself, so I've not looked into it any further. I think the error was a 403. The image was located in a file field. I will post again if I notice it happening again (another dev mentioned he was have the problem intermittently in a different Jahia instance but may have been caused by use of a cache filter).
