Hi KT, About the Application Settings. I think it's just the portlet id which is shown there. Please let me know if it has any other significance.

Did you redeploy your portlet after adding stuts-portlet-config.xml ? If you just add this file in the deployed directory, It's not enough. In general, each modification need a redeployement.
