I like Uwy a lot (didn't know about it until this email), but I would propose a
couple of modifications if it will be the default:

- It does not discriminate between Away and Busy, they're both red. I changed
the plist in mine to make Away point to the Idle icon, which is yellow. I think
discriminating between the two is useful.
- It slightly breaks consistency of the circle-shape perhaps, but purple and
blue are not as intuitively relating to "writing" and "new message" like green
(available, go!), yellow (might be away), and red (busy, probably don't
message) are, and I recommend they be replaced by other more representative
ones, such as a pencil with ... after it, or speech bubble, etc. (for example,
Stockholm Status Icons:

Those are just my humble recommendations, and I don't know how feasible it
would be to do this. (I know it can technically be done, but I mean getting
permission from original developer(s), potentially making new icons, etc). If
Uwy was used as it currently is, I still think it's preferable.
