I have experienced crashing with Nokia 7110 as well. From SMSC perspective
SM is delivered, but visually observing phone hasn't received it. And what's
most nasty, it's not able to receive SM anymore until next reset.

Also the problem can reside in SMSC or even in signaling level. I have seen
two different cases: a) phone receives SM but SMSC is not beeing
communicated back about successful delivery. After certain period of time
SMSC sends another copy of the SM. That's repeated until SM is expired or
SIM is put into another phone. This applies to few new Ericsson models. b)
phone is connected to network but network is not able to deliver message to
the phone. SMSC tries repeatedly but each delivery of the message ends with
error code. Definitely next message meant for the same problematic phone is
waiting until first one is expired on deleted.

Happy debuging!
