I would be interested. We have built a smpp server using the kannel gwlib library and the smpp pdu code. It is standalone and not integrated into Kannel. I am unfortunately not able to release the source due to contractual obligations (maybe one day). I however can give you input from the experience gained from ours which has been running for +-6-8months.
